The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda would like to inform the general public and the international community at large that the 15th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government will take place in Kampala as scheduled. Many Heads of State and Government have already confirmed their attendance and Government will ensure that sufficient security measures are put in place to guarantee their safety while they are in Uganda. |

President Museveni Hails Nyerere |

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has ordered the ministry of energy to halt any deals for the exploitation of uranium. He also instructed for the setting up of an atomic energy unit within the ministry.
The directives are contained in the resolutions passed at the end of a five-day retreat of NRM MPs at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi.
